The Beano is looking for the UK’s funniest family - and you could win an amazing prize

The Beano (the world’s longest-running weekly comic) and comedian Romesh Ranganathan are on the hunt for Britain’s funniest family.

The national competition aims to reassure children and reduce their anxiety as lockdown keeps the population indoors.

Ranganathan, a former maths teacher and father of three, is supporting the initiative alongside YoungMinds, the UK’s leading charity for children and young people’s mental health.

How can I enter?

Beano’s Funniest Family is open for entries now, and your family can enter the competition by submitting funny homemade videos at beano.com/funfam

You can submit short 15 second videos into the four following categories, until 24 May 2020:

- Funniest Family Joke- Funniest Family Prank- Funniest Family Face- Funniest Family Song and Dance

Romesh will act as Head judge, alongside a team of Beano writers to shortlist the best submissions, before asking the British public to vote online, to decide the final winner.
