Police are hunting a champagne-loving thief who struck at a Whitby store.

The culprit made off with two bottles of Pol Roger champagne - valued at £80 in total - from the Co-op on Langborne Road between 12.30pm and 12.55pm on Tuesday.

Officers believe the same man returned to the store later the same day and was challenged by staff.
